­T-Mobile has completed the rollout of the 3G network in another Czech city. Beginning today, Pardubice has been added to Prague, Plzen, Brno, Ceske Budejovice and Olomouc as offering 3G service.

USA based AT&T says that in the second quarter, AT&T handled 68.1 million connections on its public Wi-Fi network - up from 15 million connections in the second quarter of 2009. Customers have made 121.2 million connections in the first half of 2010, already far surpassing the 85.5 million connections made in all of 2009.

Angola's Movicel is planning to switch from CDMA to GSM in a move that is aimed to better compete with its rival Unitel, the Angola Press Agency reported at the venue of the Luanda International Fair.

Bulgarian WiMAX operator Max Telecom increased its speed mobile Internet services in the towns of Yambol and Kardzhali, to 8 Mbps on a trial basis. The company plans to expand the trial to its entire network within a few months.

Saudi Arabia's Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) says that it has expanded its mobile broadband service to 92 percent of the Kingdom's population.

Vodafone Portugal has launched a set of 32 Classics of Portuguese Literature in e-book format for reading on mobile phones. The Vodafone 360 Apps Shop has been offering e-books since February and already has around 250 different titles from foreign publishers.

Malta's telecoms network, Go has opened a new Network Operations Center covering all its telecoms services.

Telenor Montenegro says that 81% of its PrePay customers have switched away from vouchers to electronic top-ups for their account. The facility was launched at the start of this year.
